Access depends on valid safety training, the published timetable, and compliance with the key-management and laboratory-safety procedures below.

forum

Required

Discord is required for laboratory access

You must be a member of the Unibuc Robotics Discord server. Access requests, SSM renewals, key handovers, schedule updates, and operational notices are coordinated there.

  1. Occupational Health and Safety Training

You must have completed and signed the Occupational Health and Safety training documentation: SSM. The training is valid for one year from the date of signing, after which it must be renewed. If your training is about to expire, post in the #requests channel to schedule the renewal.

  2. Checking the Schedule

Before requesting access, check the laboratory timetable and current status at robotics.unibuc.ro/timetable.

  3. Key Management

You must post in the #keys channel when:

    • You collect the laboratory key from the security desk.
    • You hand the key to another person, specifying their name.
    • You close and lock the laboratory.
  4. Food and Drinks

Food and drinks in open containers, including cups and cans, are permitted only in the lounge area and on the balcony. They are not permitted on desks or workbenches.

  5. Eye Protection

When carrying out hardware activities that require eye protection, you must wear safety glasses and inform everyone nearby that they must wear them as well. Do not begin work until everyone in close proximity is wearing appropriate eye protection.

  6. Workspace Cleanliness

Leave your workspace clean and return all tools, components, and equipment to their designated places.

  7. Damaged Equipment

Report any damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment.

  8. Unattended Equipment

Do not leave 3D printers, powered equipment, soldering irons, batteries, chargers, or similar equipment unattended.

  9. Before Leaving

Before leaving the laboratory, switch off all equipment, turn off the lights, and make sure the door is locked.

  10. Visitors and Unauthorized Access

Do not allow unauthorized people to enter the laboratory or use its equipment without appropriate permission or supervision.
