NXP Line Follower 2026

The NXP Line Follower edition of the Unibuc Robotics Challenge was organized as a 24-hour hackathon together with NXP. In practice, it stretched closer to 30 hours, with plenty of soldering, assembly, coding, testing, and a genuinely great atmosphere throughout the event.

Two things stood out in particular: NXP's support, both through mentorship and the resources they provided, and the organization and spirit shown by the students. With 16 teams, almost 50 participants, a lot of hardware, food, and drinks, things could have turned chaotic quickly. Instead, before wrapping up, everyone stepped in and we likely left the space cleaner than we found it.

Thank you to all participants, and congratulations to everyone, especially the winners. Final rankings were determined by time, but every team managed to complete the track, which is far from trivial.
